WHAT IS THE PARALLEL RETREAT?

Not just another retreat. A shared language for connection. This T-group is designed specifically for the romantic partners of people who’ve already experienced the power of T-group. Over the course of three immersive days, participants will engage in live, unstructured, interpersonal experiences, learning how to stay present, give and receive feedback, and deepen your self-awareness—all in service of more connected, emotionally attuned relationships. You will receive a little bit of conceptual content and a lot of iterative practice that will allow you to experiment, reflect, and iterate on important aspects of human relationships: trust building, self-regulation, deeper knowing (of self and of others), relating across differences, conflict and repair, and more. This isn’t couples counseling. It’s not therapy. It’s a chance for your partner to step into a powerful growth experience of their own—while gaining tools that will ripple through your relationship and beyond.

WHY A T-GROUP FOR SIGNIFICANT OTHERS?

This is the first time we're offering a T-group experience tailored for people in committed relationships with T-group alumni. What makes it special:• Everyone in the room shares a common starting point (your partner came home from T-group with new insights and skills; left you curious about what you might learn!)
• The group has a shared motivation: to improve emotional connection
• Conceptual content, exercises, and the post-retreat integration support have been tailored to support the focus on romantic relationships

• Willing to step into something unfamiliar for the sake of professional, personal, and relational growth

FAQ

❓ Is this couples counseling?
This retreat is not couples therapy, and you (your partner) will attend as an individual. T-group is about learning through live group dynamics—not processing your specific relationship. Still, the growth your partner experiences is likely to benefit your relationship in meaningful ways.
❓ Can we both attend?
This retreat is only for the partners of T-group alumni. If you’ve already done a T-group, your partner is eligible to attend—but this is a solo experience for them. You’ll have a shared language afterward.
❓ What if I'm hesitant or nervous?
That’s normal. T-group invites vulnerability, but it does so in a deeply supportive and safe environment. You can engage at your own pace and growth happens gently—through real human connection.
❓ What’s included?
All programming, materials, meals, and a post-retreat coaching call.
❓ Will this be offered again soon?
This retreat won’t be offered again until 2026, so if you are interested, we encourage signing up now to stay in the loop.
❓ What is the schedule?
Wednesday: 11am-9pm
Thursday: 9am-9pm (optional “after-hours” hang-out: 9-10:30pm)
Friday: 9am-5pm
❓ Is there financial assistance?
Yes. We will offer early-bird discounts when registration opens.
We will also offer partial discounts to motivated participants who may not be able to afford the full price.
❓ Where will I stay?
Accommodations are not included. The retreat will be hosted in a private home in San Francisco, and we’re happy to recommend nearby options for lodging.
The retreat will be hosted in a private home in San Francisco. If you live locally, you can simply sleep at home or we can recommend nearby options for lodging.
❓ What can I expect to learn?
• Create a deeper sense of trust and intimacy
• Invest in connection with your professional colleagues, family/friends, and your significant other(s)
• Give & receive feedback in all your relationships (especially romantic)
• Recognize your internal feelings and how these drive your behaviors
• Confidently express emotions and needs
• Regulate so as to enable choice in how you behave/respond
• Engage in conflict & repair
• Attune to others
• Build trust and intimacy to deepen connection
• Share power and influence in your closest relationships
❓ How does T-group support this kind of learning/change?
• Risk-Taking - You get to practice interpersonal skills with real people who are also in committed relationships, but who—precisely because they are not in relationship with you—offer a “lower stakes” environment to try out new behaviors and communication techniques.
• Honest Feedback - We accelerate your learning through iterative feedback. In a T-group we not only build the trust and safety for people to honestly tell you what they think and how you impact them, but we also create the space for you to integrate feedback and try again.
• Real Data - We keep all conversations “here and now”, which means no one gets to hide behind case studies or role plays. Instead, you’ll engage with the real interpersonal dilemmas that naturally emerge with others in the group.
